Visiting hours vary at Central Coast Clinic

Visiting Hours

  • Weekdays: 6pm-8pm daily
  • Weekends: 10am-12pm and 6pm -8pm daily

To accommodate family and friends,

  • Strictly only two visitors per patient, at any one time for strictly no more than two hours per visit.
  • Children under 16 years (only one child at a time) may visit a patient in a 24 hour period for a maximum of two hours
  • Masks are mandatory for all patients and visitors

In consideration of all patients and visitors, please be mindful of noise levels when using our common areas.

Guidance regarding COVID-19

The World Health Organisation declared COVID-19 a pandemic, meaning the virus is established on all continents (with the exception of Antarctica). We are asking for your understanding that the ongoing requirement for physical (social) distancing means that we will continue to limit the number of visitors to our facilities.

The following restrictions apply:

Current Restrictions

  • All Visitors are to supply and wear their own masks at all times whilst in the hospital.
  • Masks are mandatory for all staff, VMOs, third partiers, students, volunteers and patients outside their rooms.
  • Paediatric patients <12 years of age are not required to wear a mask.
  • Maintain appropriate hand hygiene and physical distancing practices (1.5m) with one person per 4 square metres
  • All patients must undergo routine pre-admission screening for infectious diseases status. During the admission process, all patients must be temperature checked and COVID-19 screened


Important: Updates on NSW Hot Spots

Upon entry to the hospital and during your visit, please practice simple hygiene by:

  • Making sure to clean your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand rub
  • Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow AND

Practice physical (social) distancing by:

  • Attempting to keep a distance of 1.5 metres (5 feet) between you and other people where possible. If you are required to move closer than 1.5 metres, ensure that the time does not exceed 15 minutes
  • Avoid shaking hands, hugging, touching or kissing other people or sharing food
  • Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
  • Wear a face mask at all times, and after putting it on to cover your nose and mouth, do not touch the front of the mask and remove it using the ear loops or head straps
  • Dispose of the used mask into a waste bin and perform hand hygiene with soap and water or alcohol hand rub

If you are unwell and require urgent medical attention you should contact your GP or call 000 for an ambulance (this will work even without phone credit).

Free on site parking is available for visitors, and public transport is nearby.

Parking facilities are available in the visitors car park which is situated opposite the main Reception. Car parking is provided free of charge.  

Public Transport

The nearest train station is situated at Woy Woy. Timetables and route details are available from our Reception. We can also book a taxi for you, if required.

Visitor Facilities & FAQ’s

We offer a range of facilities for the convenience of our visitors.

The Mantra Ettalong Beach, at Ettalong is a 5 minute drive to our Hospital. For all other accommodation close by visit, Central Coast Tourism. They can provide you with a list of local accommodation facilities. Alternatively, please contact our main reception who can assist on 02 4341 9522.

Accommodation

There is always a treat waiting at our Koolewong café located in the main foyer of the hospital. If you are looking for a sweet snack, a savoury delight, a cup of coffee or a special tea, the Koolewong Cafe offers a number of delicacies to suit anytime of the day. Sit down meals and takeaway food are available.

The Koolewong Cafe also has a range of gifts sourced from local artists including plants, chocolates, gift cards, ceramics, and more. Gift Vouchers are also available.

The café is open:

  • Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 3.45pm
  • Saturday: From 9.00am

Pastoral Care

Religious visits can be arranged on request. Please speak to our hospital staff who will be happy to organise a suitable visit for you.

Florists

Umina Beach Flowers and Gifts is a local florist that delivers regularly to the hospital, please contact 02 4341 4771. Use of this florist is at your discretion. All flowers and gifts should be delivered to:
